HOME: Office still located on corner of Warm Springs and Boones Ferry Rd, next to Donut Land.
STAFF: Marianne Pratt still executive director, Tiffany Block leaves in April 99 and is replaced by Heather Palmer as membership director, Dan Kaempff still running the TMA, Kimberly Harrow, receptionist.

EVENTS:
Charlie McDermott got a holein- one at the 10th annual golf tournament. Unfortunatley it wasn’t on the ‘car’ hole, but he still received a check for $250! Annual trade show with Wilsonville, holiday luncheon & auction, Chamber day at the Capitol, legislative breakfast and Car Free & Carefree week were our events in 1999.

IMPORTANT ISSUES:
Leadership Tualatin begins in September; fought for—and won– long-term funding for the Chambers Transportation Management Assoc., formed the Tualatin Hispanic Chamber (later called Grupo Latino); Tualatin Police Facility and Kaiser Permanente both break ground for new facilities;

MISCELLANEOUS:
Created a government affairs committee which eventually changed their name to the Business Advocacy Committee.
Semi-annual working dinner with the chamber board and the Tualatin City Council
Business Advocacy committee testified at Senate sub-committee hearing on transportation in support of the I-5/99w Connector Road.

POLITICAL:
took positions on one ballot measure in the Primary election and six measures in the general election;

IMPORTANT ISSUES:
TMA shuttle ridership doubled to 40 per day; Hosted Senator Ron Wyden as a luncheon speaker; Grupo Latino Americano committee provides outreach to Hispanic businesses.


MISCELLANEOUS:
Created quarterly ’Educational AM’ events
Semi-annual working dinner with the City Council
Created “Lunch & Learn” monthly brown bag sessions
Celebrated the Crawfish Festival’s 50th anniversary!
2000 Goals include increasing membership to 40% of Tualatin business license holders, recruit 20 for Leadership Tualatin; and form a 501c3 Foundation
