POLITICAL:

MISCELLANEOUS:
Newsletter now printed in blue every month.
Chamber gets an E-mail address! tualcham@teleport.com.
Mind Movers Breakfast Club is discontinued.
58 new members in 1995, 226 renewals.
Quote from Lou Ogden “chamber membership is like a set of barbells, they don’t do you any good unless you lift them.”

Susan Baker drives the golf cart at the annual Crawdaddy Open.

UNBELIEVABLE:
A combination of frozen ground, heavy snowfall and quickly rising temperatures caused rivers to rise and downtown Tualatin to flood. Chamber sets up shop first in the Sweetbrier Inn. Later in a utility trailer donated by a member.

IMPORTANT ISSUES:
Industrial Council discusses a potential road skirting Tualatin and traveling from Hwy 99 to I-5. Chamber members nominated for Top Ten Growth Awards, include current members Kadel’s Auto Body, Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, Mortgage Freedom Company, and Tualatin Auto Body.

President Scott Morrill (in powdered wig), and wife Jane dress up at the chamber’s annual dinner. Scott also served as Tualatin’s Judge for several years, Jane is currently trying to get a dog park started in Tualatin.

Currently have about 300 members including 52 new ones and 214 returning. New benefit gets you a free newsletter insert if you ‘recruit’ 5 new members during the year.
