EVENTS:
Bowling tournament, golf tournament, joint trade show with Tigard, Holiday Marketplace trade show, tree lighting ceremony, holiday decorating contest, annual dinner.
IMPORTANT ISSUES:
The chamber has formed a ‘Potlatch Circle” as a fund raiser. Short-term goal is $10,000 to replace computers and phone systems. Long-term goal is to buy or build a permanent home.

MISCELLANEOUS:
• July 10 ground breaking at the future home of the Tualatin Commons. Lake area outlined with blue balloons.
• Meridian Park Hospital opens their new obstetrics wing.
• Networking AM scaled back to once per month, with Networking PM’s also held monthly. Mind Movers breakfast club best practices sharing) meets twice per month—all on Thursdays.
• 31 new members in 1993, 179 renewals.
• Ambassador committee meets every Wednesday morning to greet new members and stop in to say hello to current members

POLITICAL:
Chamber holds candidate forums for city council candidates and Mayoral candidates. Candidates for Mayor include Kathy Forrest, Richard Hager and Lou Ogden.
IMPORTANT ISSUES:
Industrial Council forms Bus Service Task Force to discuss transportation needs, and lack of bus transportation in the industrial area, with TriMet representatives.

• Networking AM’s moved to Fridays and held each week
• Membership drive nets 23 new members— one of them, Grimm’s Fuel, is still a member today!
• Newsletter increases to 12 pages and is printed in blue ink every other month
• 47 new members, although the July newsletter says 50 have joined so far. 181 renewals
